Career choices after MBBS in India

MD/MS/Diploma

The primary choice after MBBS for candidates who wish to advance their medical career is post graduation course in specialties like internal medicine, general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, ENT etc. After MD/MS you become a specialist doctor. The duration of course is 3 years.

Few glitches that make DNB a second choice to MD/MS is the passing rate in DNB being very low, depending on the course and hospital of choice.
